Privacy notice
Last updated 28 October 2026
We keep as little about you as possible. There are no ads, no tracking and no selling of data.
If you don’t create an account
We don’t collect anything about you. Your progress, answers and settings are saved only in your own browser (using “local storage”) and never leave your device. Clearing your browser data deletes them.
If you create an account
We keep:
- Your first name and email address, to sign you in and greet you.
- A secure version of your password. We never see or store your actual password.
- Your study progress and settings, such as answers, scores, notes and your chosen theme, so they follow you to other devices.
If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name and email address with us. We don’t get access to anything else in your Google account.
The study assistant (Atlas)
The study assistant needs an account. When you send it a message or ask it to mark your work, we send your message, your recent messages in that chat, and the text of the lesson page you are on to Google’s Gemini AI service to write the reply. Before anything is sent, we remove things that look like email addresses and phone numbers. Google may use what is sent to improve its products, and people at Google may read it, so never type personal information (your full name, school, candidate number, address or anything private) into the assistant. Your chat is saved in your account so it follows you between devices; you can clear it at any time in the assistant’s settings. We keep only a daily count of how many questions you have asked, to share the free allowance fairly. The assistant is an AI, not a person, and it can make mistakes, so check important answers with your notes or your teacher.
Classes and leaderboards
Classes are optional. Nothing is shared until you create or join a class. When you are in a class, its members can see the nickname you choose for that class and your weekly totals (questions answered, accuracy and study days). They never see your email address or real name. Leaving your last class deletes your weekly totals, and totals older than nine weeks are deleted automatically. Class owners can remove members.
Feedback messages
If you use the Feedback button, we keep your message, its category and the address of the page you were on, plus your account ID if you are signed in. Please don’t include personal information in feedback.
What we use it for
- To sign you in, keep your progress in sync, and send emails you ask for, such as confirming your email or resetting your password.
- To run the features you choose to use: the study assistant, classes and feedback, as described above.
- Nothing else. We don’t send marketing emails, show ads, or sell or share your information with anyone for their own use.
Where it is stored
Account information is stored with our database and sign-in provider, Supabase, which keeps it on secure servers. The website is hosted by Cloudflare, which, like any web host, handles your device’s IP address to deliver the pages. Study assistant messages are processed by Google (Gemini), as described above. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which may see your device’s IP address when the page loads.
How long we keep it
We keep your account until you ask us to delete it. If an account is unused for three years, we may delete it.
Your choices
- See or correct your information: contact us and we’ll help.
- Delete your account and everything in it: contact us from the email address on your account, and we’ll delete it within 30 days.
- Sign out: signing out removes your progress from that device. It stays safe in your account.
Students under 18
The site is made for secondary school students. If you are under 13, please ask a parent or guardian before creating an account. Parents and guardians can contact us at any time to see or delete their child’s information.
Changes
If we change this notice, we will update the date at the top of this page.
